Build your Teaching Skills Vinyasa

Dates: This class will resume in the Fall. Keep an eye out for new themes!
Time: 7:30 – 9:30 pm
Cost: $30 single class or $100 for 4 class series

This two hour class will be offered as an ongoing once a month class and is specifically geared for teachers who are looking to enhance their skills. The first portion of this class will be a 75 minute vinyasa flow class with focus on a theme that will go over the different components of teaching. The theme will change each month. The  last 45 minutes will be reserved for questions/discussion. We will explore ways to seamlessly incorporate themes when building teaching sequences for classes. Please register in advance and bring a notebook and pen!

Basics of Meditation

Without knowing how to relax first there is no meditation. This workshop will teach you the basic breathing and relaxation techniques needed to help you avoid a bit of the frustration that can occur by jumping right into a meditation practice without the necessary tools. In addition you will learn specific techniques to help you cultivate a meditation practice of your own.

Bandhas and Kriya Breathing

The Bandhas are energetic locks in the body that are necessary in a yoga practice for the body to find its proper alignment as well as utilize Prana (vital life energy that rides the breath) to energetically support the body as you move through the asanas (postures). 
Kriya Breathing techniques help to purify the body and teach you better control of the breath and movement of energy throug the body during asana practice as well as throughout your day.

Subtle Bodies & Four Paths of Yoga

Meditation Mystery Revealed

There are many ways to meditate and they don't all require a secret getaway to a mountain top. Most can be done right at home or even in your office chair. In this workshop you will learn simple techniques to help you start a daily meditation practice.

Restorative Yoga/Reiki Healing Workshop

Restorative Yoga is passive yoga postures which allow the body to renew and restore itself. The use of props helps heal the effects of chronic stress and fatigue in our every day life. Learn to let go of holdings in the body and feel completely supported at the same time. Restorative yoga is suitable for everyone with no experience necessary.
Reiki means universal life force energy, the energy found in and around all living things. It is a natural, non invasive yet powerful method that is given by gentle touch. Reiki is an ancient japanese hands-on technique that promotes relaxation and stress reduction. Reiki also enhances the natural power of the body to heal itself. Energy is given by the laying-on of hands, either directly on or off the body. Please wear comfortable clothing.
Tina will give reiki healings while students are in a restorative pose. Please come 10-15 minutes early to set up.
